Next weekend there are going to be some pretty exciting women in Tampa and I get to hear their success stories!
True rock stars! At least that is how I view women inventors that have hit it big...with a fabulous idea and lots of hard work, of course!
Such is the case for the Boogie Wipes ladies! Julie and Mindee started Boogie Wipes in 2007 and today, a mere two years later, their company is worth $4.2 million dollars! Like I said, rock stars!
Mindee will be sharing her wisdom with us over dinner and drinks at the Moms Reinvented Event that will inspire us all while also raising money and awareness for the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation.
These ladies are true role models for women inventors and I have to admit, if I had to choose between hanging out with Blondie and Pat Benetar or Julie and Mindee, the Boogie Wipes ladies would win!
But maybe we could play "Heart of Glass" and "Love is a Battlefield" on our ipod while we were hanging out...
Tracy, You are an inspiration to us all. Lucky you meeting such exciting women. You go girl!
ReplyDeleteThanks Anonymous! What a nice comment to wake up to! :)
ReplyDeleteLiking the new look for your site, Tracy. It took me by surprise but I'm liking it a lot!
ReplyDeleteGlad you like the new look!
ReplyDeleteThere is a meaning behind the change and there's a hit on the page. I'll be able to announce it soon but until then, see if you can figure it out!
Mornin' Tracy! Yes, the new look is nice!
ReplyDeleteJust participated in the Walk For Hope in Hamilton, NJ yesterday organized by my neighbor Barbara Kuleba. Her son has Crohns and they raised over $35,000 for Children's Hospital of Philadelphia!
A great cause!
Hey Jen,
ReplyDeleteGood for you, supporting your friend! Glad you like my new look (blog) - less expensive than a haircut but just as fun! :)

Call me crazy but Tracy maybe you are the mole from Milojo????
ReplyDeleteThis looks to me like one of those murder mystery games of who is????
ReplyDeleteBUSTED! :)
ReplyDeleteOk, just kidding girls! I am totally cracking up right now!
ReplyDeleteI hope you all know that I get just as much enjoyment from this blog as you do and I am starting to feel like I really know many of you!!!
xoxoxoxo,
Your friend,
The Mole.
Teeeheeehheee
That's funny!!! :)
ReplyDeleteOkay I will say it. Am I the only one though? I don't like the new look. There I said it. I don't know if I'm just a creature of habit or if change is the problem. Sorry. There's one in every crowd. I will adjust. Hmmm The mole ehhh! Loved that show I miss it. Never knew I'd be playing the WI version. I can assure you of this I am not the mole! I am probably the least connected of us all and the least fortunate. I am not waiting on Milojo I am not in talks with anyone I have nothing beyond prototype stage with any of my inventions. No website nothing to market. So would that be incrimanting the last person you would think of. Really though what is your news Tracy. Did you actually shoot a commercial for the everything marinator with Pitchmen? Hmmm? Or was NY your hint? Oh I don't know. All I know is I have some great ideas and someday you all will have the pleasure of having some of them in your households.
ReplyDeletePS
Okay so the new site is growing on me. :-)
I will also be going to this event. It will be a blast! We should meet up.
