Mom Inc is now "Homemade Millionaire"

Below is the response email I received from Christina at Milojo.

What do you think of the name?

How do you feel about the time line?

Either way, it was nice to get a better idea of when the show will air and that it is INDEED going forward! Homemade Millionaire is a prime example of how long it can take to put a show together!

Good luck to those on the show!

Hi Tracy!

We are looking at late summer or early fall, but no exact date yet. The name of the show is now "Homemade Millionaire" and will be on TLC. We hope you like it when it airs!!

Best,
Christina

  1. Thanks for sharing, Tracy. Clever title. I wonder if it is meant to leave the door open for the second gender (men?) going forward since there is now no reference to "women" exclusively. Kelly mentioned on the morning show awhile back that this will give women a chance to become millionaires and now the show title reflects that same declaration. Good luck, ladies! #16

  2. Hi Ladies! I just found out today that I will not be on the show either. I was #3 then gave it away and was referring to myself as #9. No need for numbers anymore. My name is Lori Ivanovic and my invention was an innovative and patented magnetic clasp for jewelry. I call it Magiclasp! Anyway, I guess I almost made it to the end but she said that for certain story reasons they went a different way.

I am also the one with the special needs child that can now walk! Yeah! I am also the one that sculpts dolls and was lucky enough to have Marie Osmond buy the rights to her and she will be on QVC in Aug. Just a little back ground to help bring the number to an actual person now.
I must say that I am extremely sad to have made it this far and then nothing! UHHHHHHH! I hope maybe I can work something out with Marie Osmond since she is now selling her own jewelry line on QVC????!!! I'm sure it's a looonnnggg shot but just getting yourself out there seems to make things happen that you never expected.
I just wanted to thank you Tracy and everyone for this supportive and interesting blog. ' I heard that if your at a fork in the road "take it" Ha!
    Hugs to all you ladies,
    Lori Ivanovic
p.s. if youd like to take a look at my hand sculpted doll you can go to ebay and type in silver spoon solid silicone doll or look it up by number 270566133195 : )

  3. Wow Lori, so good to put a name to the number! :) Good luck in all you are doing and even if Homemade Millionaire isn't the direction for you, it sounds like you'll be JUST fine!!!

#16...I was thinking that as well (men joining the group)...guess we'll see at the end of summer or early fall!

  4. WOW Lori, amazing!!! Sounds like you've already made it farther than most on QVC!!!! So great to hear about your child! What a blessing!!

Well, Homemade Millionaire....thanks for that info Tracy! I had no idea. Good to hear the start date, too!!!

I'm thinking someone should make a documentary on the women on the blog...so many would watch. :)

Tracy, wating to hear about your pitch and when it will air!!!

  5. Wonderful, Lori!! You're right - no further need for Anonymous #'s - how liberating! So I'm Ginny (formerly #16)! I was the one who was told I may be on the short list for Season Two if the show is picked up but, frankly, I have my reservations after all this. What was interesting, I think, was that I was told that the format each show will be two women with inventions in the same "category" - not identical, of course, but in some way alike or serving a similiar function, I believe. Alas,I was told that there was no one with whom my invention would be compatible and with whom they could match me up. That is why I was told that I am not a candidate for first season. Let's just say that I'm no longer holding my breath! Still, I can't wait to see this show finally air! Incidentally, I think that Lori and Deedra have fabulous initiatives and would love to see you both do well! Lori, I'll be checking you out on Ebay! It is wonderful news about your child! Best, Ginny

  6. Tracy - Wow that's pretty far out there late summer or fall. I guess we all knew it would eventually come to fruition. Thanks for the update.

Good to meet you by name both Ginny and Lori.

Lori - I went to ebay WOW she's a doll.LOL Get it doll. (I'm so corny sometimes.) I think you may be right there Lori. God's plan may be for you to make contacts through the doll and then yes maybe Marie will be interested in having the exclusive magiclasp! And so good to hear about your child walking!!! What a wonderful answer to prayer. (Boy or girl? I don't recall)

Ginny - That's TV I guess. No matter if the idea is good or not gotta have the ratings so they need that competitive thing. At first they made it sound like the most important thing was to help these Ladies get their ideas out there. No we see the bottom line is really ratings. Frustrating.

Deedra - Love, love, love your idea and I think your right people would watch. What an interesting docu-drama that would be.
Don't know that I'm crazy about the name of the WI show Homemade Millionaire. Hmmm. I guess I feel like if that were true we would all be Millionaires cuz Lord knows we've done the whole grass roots at home coming up with the idea part but it's all in getting your idea to the right people part (that has nothing to do with home) that we all need to "make it". Oh well I do see why they named it that just don't agree I guess.

Have a great day my friends who are no longer #'s.

  7. I think, Mary, that the women who auditioned were thought to have "kitchen table" ideas that they are trying to launch. That is, concepts that were initially formulated at home. That's probably where the "homemade" title came from. Ginny

  8. "Hi, my name is Jen and I'm a REAL housewife in New Jersey. I haven't been nipped or tucked and I still clean my own house... which is why I am so excited to tell you about my invention GrimeOut! This revolutionary cleaning tool..."

Okay, seriously people, do you think there's snowball's chance in hell they could call?? Hmmm I may just send a little hello and how are ya to Miss Christina :)

Thanks as always Tracy for having your finger on the pulse of all things Milojooooo !!!

LYMI!! And good luck to everyone whether chosen or not!

    Love...

  9. I'm REALLY NOT liking the fact that women who had been given contracts have not been given the status. Jen, I think it is very unkind that no one has notified you as of this date!!

    ReplyDelete
  10. I'm with Anonymous above that is over the top rude!!! I personally would have done a lot of thing differently.

Ginny as I said I get the why they named it that, but I was answering Tracy's question and I really don't like the name I think their could've been a better name to capture the true essence. What that is i don't know but just not crazy about the name, or the time line or the way they handled treating everyone either. I guess I just expect people to treat people the way they would like to be treated. Come now I'm sure I'm not the only one.

  11. HI everyone!
    Mary,
Yes, we were told that my son would never walk by two doctors! Through a lot of love and determination and painful years we got my son walking at four and a half ( and of course to many prayers to count). He can now walk everywhere by himself, climb and everything. He has some visual losses so he still bumps into things and falls a lot but what an amazing event to see that happen for the first time. I dreamed and dreamed about it and knew that it would happen some day, but I thought maybe by the time he was 9 or 10. My son has an undiagnosed illness so please send up a prayer for the little guy if you can remember him. His name is Wesley, thanks for asking Mary!

Ginny, I am sorry that you also didn't make the show this late in the game. You know I didn't even have a contact there with a phone #?!. I guess Kevin doesn't work there anymore??? After several emails to Christina she finally let me know that I didn't make it. I truly think they just totally forgot about me. I'm sorry but how bad does that stink that you can have a great product and make it all the way to the end and because they didn't even have there format worked out and couldn't be paired up with someone to compete against we were eliminated!!!! Sometimes it's hard to be gracious about everything that happens in life, especially after 10 months of waiting and not being able to move forward with our products. So enough about that, we have to move on now. Ginny you didn't mention what your invention was, please share it with us. Maybe someone can someday can help you.
Thanks for the compliments on my art dolls, it's a truly crazy accident how I even came across the how doll sculpting world. Yes, my doll will be on QVC but Marie pays a one time fee for the sculpt so it's not much in the whole picture compared to having an invention on QVC or HSN. I only did it so that collectors would start to recognize me in the doll world.
    hugs to all,
    Lori Ivanovic #9

  12. Wow, I love all of the dialogue!

I have not met my coffee quota yet so if I miss someone/something, please forgive me.

First off, Lori, you have my prayers and cheers for your little boy!

Mary, I agree with you about the name - it's not my favorite...it makes me think of products that are "homemade" like potholders, dream catchers, coasters...not that there is anything wrong w/these products - I have all of them but I was thinking the show would be more "Inventor, Women, Mom's" focused. The name also makes me think that Men are allowed in as well. Again, not that there is anything wrong w/that!
Like my Husband said, "the name will change again" before it airs.

Jen, your product would have been SO perfect for this kind of show! Call Christina!

Deedra, my infomercial will be airing in less than two weeks and you all will be the first to know!

    ReplyDelete
  13. To clarify, when I said "Inventor, Women, Mom's" focused, I was trying to say "products that you would see in the store" like Deedras invention and not "homemade" products that your children could make for you...ok, like I said, I have not had enough coffee! :)

    ReplyDelete
  14. Morning all,

Tracy - What you said exactly! I think it needs to have that feel to it that it was done at home but not "home made". Like ordinary people coming up with extraordinary ideas. Everyday people who invent like - Everyday Edisons oops that's already taken. I like the hint that your idea could be a million dollar idea. Like maybe Who want's to be a millionaire oops also already taken. I agree though the homemade makes it sound simple. Now about your infomercial I trust that your two weeks is not the same as Milojo's two weeks -Right? LOL

Lori - You are living with a true little miracle. I will continue to lift up your little miracle Wesley in prayer.
So anyone know a director type. I love Deedra's idea. That would actually be very cool to make a documentary based off the everyday bloggings of a group of Ladies with a common dream of getting their inventions realized who end up supporting each other in so much more than just that dream but end up genuinely caring for one another in all aspects of their lives. To the point of cheering one another on and having sincere happiness and sorrow for one another. And it would have the whole invention thing as a back drop which seems to be popular right now for the general public to watch everyday people "make it". Sorry I just can't get that outta my head since Deedra mentioned it. Although I think she was rather "tongue in cheek" about it I really think it would interest people. It would have that reality show thing people love and that invention thing that's so intriguing to see what ideas people have and then the whole friendships found thing. And of course we all know I have supplied plenty of hardship sharing. As others of you have as well. Anyway, can't stop thinking about it.

PS Okay I've got it - "Million Dollar Ideas" that's what they should have named it then they could have their whole competition thing and say - "Who DOES have the million dollar idea? You decide."
    Ladies Have a Blessed Day!!

  15. Hi ladies! Thanks for the kind words! Tracy, I don't have her numba!

On a separate note- there's a new post on my blog today about Breaking the Cycle (of dysfunction)... www.welladjustedorsotheysay.blogspot.com

  16. OK ladies, I'm gonna put some things out there and ask for your help again!!!! :) Tracy, I hope this is ok!

So....because of all the crazy going on with the adoption and funds that had to go that way...I had to halt some on my work on Klipzon. Now I'm ready to get back into it. My thought is that need to have ONE design manufactured and ready to sell by the end of the summer. :) BUT I also am so very interested in doing a special line of wedding Klipzons....each unique....couture, or kouture klipzons. :)

    Anywho, 2 questions:

    1. what kind of headband do you like the best of these choices: black with studs, black with bling, white with studs, more of a scarf look, or something with a flower decor?

And 2. What celeb do you think I should try to get to represent? :) Kelly Ozborne has been on my heart lately...her and her gorgeous look and all those fantastic headbands she wore on DWTS! Other suggestions?

Help me please...if you don't want to post here, you can go to klipzon.com and go to the comments field. You don't have to fill in personal info, just put a comment in and send.

    Thanks my inventor sisters!!!!

    Much love,

  17. Hmm...Deedra, is this headband for your wedding line? If so, I like white w/studs...if it's for everyday, I like the scarf look. My daughter has a scarf like headband and I think it is just adorable!
Did you read my post about www.contactanycelebrity.com? You don't have to stop just at ONE celebrity (depending on your budget for gifting). Let me know if you need more info on Contact Any Celebrity. So excited for you!

  18. Lori here,previously #9,
Does anyone know if there are any numbers from this blog that made it on the show? Are there any #'s out there waiting to hear?
Deedra, I emailed you a couple of days ago and I think maybe your not getting my emails? I emailed months ago and no response. Just thought you should know since people may be trying to give you input on your headbands and you may not be getting them.
    HElp!!!!!!!!
I need some therapy, anger is starting to consume me with this whole show thing. ANyone have enough therapy to give me some tools to get through this, I mean it's been ten months and I had to email them everytime to find out anything!!!!!! In Jan, I was told that I still had a very good chance of making it. Through repeated emails to multiply people I finally find out in MAY that they went a different way. I guess they were just going to leave me out there to see it on t.v. and realize that I didn't make it. So much invested, I need to move on but wow it really hurts. I guess I just need a little more time.: (

  19. Lori-
So sorry Hun that is certainly not okay to be treated that way!! Honestly the way that all you Ladies have been treated has left a real bad taste in my mouth toward the show. Just a little common courtesy would have made a world of difference I bet. Unfortunately the golden rule of TV is not the same golden rule we try to hold to in everyday life. Seems as though theirs is money first courtesy if there's time.
Lori you are perfectly justified in your feelings ten months of dangling fame in your face and then not having the common courtesy to tell you they've moved on NOT nice. I think if I remember correctly from self help type stuff it is very therapeutic to write a letter to someone who has wronged you now whether you actually send it or not is up to you, I personally think if you put together a letter outlining the mistreatment ie: you having to pursue each time and being strung along for ten months then not even the decency to let you know. Well I would send it. They need to know that is not acceptable to treat people that way.
I say write the letter send it or don't but get all your frustration out and then take some great photoes of the magic clasp and use your QVC connections and get Marie to endorse it!! Gooooo Lori!! Praying for peace for you my friend.

Deedra - I think for your wedding line Elegant would be the way to go. You know fairytalish. Everyday line - scarf. Love your idea to get Kelly to endorse. Have you watched American Idol? Maybe that pack of up and coming kids would be a good endorsement. Best wishes. And please refresh us on the current status with all the adoption goings on? Sadly I am torn about what I remember as the final outcome and I want to be able to lift you up in prayer appropriately. Best wishes my friend.

  20. Thank you Mary!!!!!
I think your right, that it is always good to get out of your head and put it down on paper and release a little bit of the angst.

About the name of the show. I liked it initially and then it does sound a bit trivial for all that we go through. For example it took years to get my patent and countless prototypes not to mention the 40k I have in my invention. I think KITCHEN TABLE MILLIONAIRES IS BETTER OR K.T. MILLIONAIRES! Ha Ha that's probably not the greatest name. Their name sounds like a cooking show!!!!!!!!! thought I would add my two cents since you asked Tracy : )

    ReplyDelete
  21. Happy to hear your "two cents" anonymous! I really like Mom Inc but I know they were having some legal problems b/c someone already owns that name...How about...oh, I don't know! :)
How about Women Inventors left hanging?! Haha, just a joke!

  22. Hi Ladies! Long time no speak from Lisa with Bag Bundle! I am delighted that there will be a show at long last. I am particularly delighted that I was set free shortly after the TLC casting call, so I could do other casting calls and Bag Bundle was not held hostage.

I now have signed a worldwide license agreement for E-Commerce, Infomercials and Retail. I am So incredibly grateful for all of the love and support along the way and I pray for each and every one of you for success, safety and happiness.

The Snuggie affiliates created the website I have now www.bagbundle.com, but the new company now has exclusive rights to patent, trademark..the works.

I admire all inventors...especially women, who have endured long suffering along the way.

Barbara Corcoran from Shark Tank suggested I read one of her books If You Don't Have Big Breasts, Put Ribbons in Your Pigtails...I read it multiple times and the gal that suggested Mommy Millionaire to me months ago on Product X..Fabulous books and a good value on Amazon.com

  26. Nice! Really, nice, Lisa!!! I LOVE hearing this news! Continued success. Ginny

  27. Hi from Lisa with Bag Bundle!

    Thanks to all of you.

I did not get this help from a casting call, however, the videos I could attach to everything I did from casting calls, helped so much, as my product is very visual.

Fox News is doing a human interest story on this entire process, so perhaps once I have a video of that, I can share all of it. I am hoping they will do a weekly spot, so I can share fifteen or so minutes at a time of the process from conception to offshore production, to strategic marketing, as there must be thousands of people who have great ideas, but do not know where to begin.I believe collectively we could save the planet.

So much money can be saved if you do most of the work yourself.

If anyone has questions, please feel free to E-mail bagbundle@comcast.net.

    I love you all..Go Women Go!!! :)

    ReplyDelete
  28. Hi Ladies,
As for "the show", after working with a producer and sending more video in, I too was told that I am not slated for the initial taping. I have a cleaning product as well and that they are not doing a cleaning product show now, and will be a strong possibility if the show is picked up. I am continuing to "work my products" after much questioning, the "contract" will be null and voided when other opportunities come forth! I am working with Clorox as well so who knows......... we must remember, everthing happens for a reason. I truly love all you ladies here! And Tracy, thank you again for creating and maintaining this blog!!!!!! And "cover #" is and now was 8! From here on I will be Tani Taltos.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Hi, Tani...I'm sorry that you were "so close" and nothing materialized with regard to the show, but glad to know that you can proceed with your products elsewhere. My story is identical to yours (but mine is not a cleaning product). I was told that there was no match this season, but if it's picked up I'd be on the short list for season two. I don't think they would ever hold any of us who have been eliminated for season one to our contracts if another opportunity presents itself, at least that is the general gist of what the AP I spoke with said. Good luck to you and keep us informed!! Ginny

    ReplyDelete
  30. Hi Tani! Do you have anywhere we can go to see your product or to purchase?

I am sorry the process took you so far and then you were let down...hey, I was really bummed to find out I didn't make it and that was MONTHS ago! So I feel for you ladies!

And Tani, you are welcome about maintaining my blog...my goal is to keep it going until the show (Homemade Millionaire) airs but who knows...maybe longer... :)

    ReplyDelete
  31. Hi all, Lori Here #9
So is there anyone that reads this blog that still has a shot at the show????????????
    Lisa,

  33. Tani did they tell you that you will be consider for the second show if it is picked up?

    ReplyDelete
  34. Do any of you think Kelly realizes the trauma she put these women inventors though?

    ReplyDelete
  35. Funny. The same question occured to me. It can be read in one of two ways: 1) Either Kelly is deliberately kept oblivious and out of the loop regarding the rather cold-hearted way in which this was handled over the past year as decisions have been made OR 2) the entire enterprise is simply looked upon as a money-generating production and compassion has no place in the equation and, in fact, is not even a remote factor. I think these folks are probably clueless as to what the opportunity represented for some folks and even if not clueless, my feeling is that it is the latter. "Nothing personal, Ma'm - just the way it works. That's TV." I know it hurts, but that is really what I believe to be the case. I'm saddened, too. But we must move on. Best, Ginny

    ReplyDelete
  36. Ginny, I am doubting myself because of this. I know we have to move on, although it is not easy to do. I have dealt with a lot of things throughout my life span but this was one of the most traumatic events in my lie.

    ReplyDelete
  37. I understand, Anonymous above. I had hoped, too. I have a very, very sick husband (right now in the hospital - again), I work long hours and have a mountain of bills to pay. But the trick is not to count on anything too soon. I had put the idea out of my head (as much as possible) and tried hard not to count on it. Otherwise, I knew it would be devastating. You, too, need to put it aside. You WILL get over it - and be stronger for it! Please don't doubt yourself or your invention! If it was good enough to be considered, it is GOOD! Pitch it elsewhere - and let me know how you make out! G.

    ReplyDelete
  38. An interesting tidbit! So I was on FaceBook checking out entries from my present FB friends and trying to locate old ones. It dawned on me to search "Homemade Millionaire" - well, up popped the FB page of a Michelle Champagne Star Style. She's a New York make up artist and apparently is Kelly Ripa's m/u artist. I didn't read all her entries, but on May 5th she posted that Homemade Millionaire was a "wrap" - clearly she did the make up for the TLC show. She also references taping one of the WI shows at Ricky's in New York City. I guess there's more, but I didn't have time to wade through all her stuff. She is prolific on her FB page. Just interesting to know that taping is completed and it's right there on FaceBook. Ginny

    ReplyDelete
  39. Wow, what a find Ginny! My computer is down and I am using my tiny laptop that is not very user friendly but when I'm up and running again, I will check it out!

    ReplyDelete
  40. Ginny,
I am curious to check out FB now on that. So sad that not even one of our number made it. Excluding Deedra that is. She did make it right? Just can't talk about it yet. Right? Excuse me I'm a little confused there. Ginny also know that I am praying for your hubby.
In other news I could use a little prayer myself.
I have an entry in Edison Nations Lie Product Search for innovative Cookware that will make our lives easier. My entry is Lidz-on a pots and pan system that the lid stays attached for ease of storage and so you never lose your lid. It is removable for washing or can be easily washed with it attached if you prefer. Anyway this idea is climbing the chart at EN it is now at level 5 out of 7 if it makes it to 7 it will presented to the retailer. They are making the presentation of the chosen products to the retailer on May 14th (this Friday). So basically I will either continue to climb and be at level 7 Friday and get presented to the retailer or they will opt out and I will see a big ugly red X at level 6 or level 7. This will happen by Friday. Good bad or ugly I will no the fate of Lidz-on cookware system. I think it's pretty obvious what I would like the outcome to be. :-) Now it's not over there cuz once the chosen ideas are presented the retailer looks through and decides which ideas they want to follow up on and take to the last level, level 8. At that point you get $2,500 and a licensing agreement for 5% of sales or something like that. Anyway prayers would be appreciated.
Thanks Ladies have a blessed day.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Wow! What a find on the FB account from the makeup artist!!! Good research!!!

Mary, how exciting for your Lidz-on! Keep us updated!!! Any website we can visit?

And, I have never confirmed or confirmed that I made it on the show. My guess that THERE ARE ladies following this blog that have made it!! Most info I get on the show is from this blog! 44. Thanks for the support Deedra & Ginny.
I agree I think she meant confirmed or denied? Now about that. The only time one is sooo secretive is when they have something to hide. Now you see why I've been so confused on the matter. Okay Dee be like that - Hee-hee we'll wait and see. Cuz Lord knows we Ladies know how to wait!!! And wait!!! And wait!!! LOL I crack myself up.
Sorry no web-site for the Lidz-on. And of course I will keep you Ladies posted I'm not going anywhere.

  45. Does anyone know if the casting call for NY that was scheduled for June 9th and 10th is still on. If you go to the casting call website, they no longer give any details. And as said above, I have never received a confirmation even though I did "reserve" a time. I just don't know what's going on. Help please.

If you are referring to the WI Inventors casting call - ummm how do I put this. . .. . . you are a year too late. If you are referring to another casting call I'm sorry I went there and I don't know what casting call you mean.

  47. Oh dear, Alaine! They REALLY should remove that outdated information! As Mary has said, those dates were for June of last year. I'm SO sorry if you've been awaiting a confirmation. That's just awful! Perhaps they will hold other casting calls if the show is picked up and, hopefully, you can try to pitch your invention for the second season. Best, Ginny

Woo-Hoo!! I am a finalist in the Life-time Cookware Live Product Search with Edison Nation. I made it to G7. Which basically means that EN thought enough of my product to make a proto-type and tweak it so they can present it to the retailer tomorrow. Now we sit back and wait to see if the retailer choses to make it into a product. Good thing I befriended all of you a year ago cuz if there's something I know how to do now it's wait!LOL Please keep me in your prayers I'm not out of the woods yet. Thanks all.

  52. I was wondering the same thing about a contract release? I never have heard anything. I did receive FINALLY a message that they are not going to use my product in this show but that they wanted to keep me on the list if it's picked up. I certainly won't wait after 10 months but will be happy to be on the next show but continue to peddle my invention to other opportunities.

Mary, To say that I'm thrilled for you would be an understatement!!! You'll make it! This will open more doors for you being able to to have this merit behind you. I'm so happy for you!

  53. Hi, ladies! At the time I learned I was not a candidate for the first season, I was offered a release from the contract but, because they said I might selected for a possible second season, I opted to keep things they way they are. The AP seemed to favor that decision, but would have released me if I had wanted. Too much going on right now in my personal life for me to peddle elsewhere anyhow. Ginny

  54. Mary, I am so happy for you. This might be the answer to all of your prayers! Congrats!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  55. How can you peddle your invention when your still bound to the contract? What happens if it is picked up by a huge company? Will the show still get a piece of that action? Lori, I feel as you do but at this point I don't think we really own our products any longer. I have heard the same as you did. There has been no communication.

    ReplyDelete
  56. I don't see how we can be bound to a contract when we aren't even on the show ???????? I just asked to be released so we'll see what they say.

  61. Ok, read all the requirements/rules for this show on Oprah network and pondering entering another show...to be a finalist you have to have the most votes so I would be counting on all of you to vote for me and pass it on! :)

  66. Meanwhile, I know there might just be someone looking for a good read with their morning coffee :). If you teach, taught or know someone who does, this is for you and please feel free to share. My Grandmother Jan wrote this paper after her first year of teaching in Chickasha, OK, 1932 at the age of 21. It's entitled "Why Do We Do It?" I have been in touch with the local newspaper in Chickasha and they like it so much they are going to publish it in a new "Remember When" section of their paper. Hope you'll enjoy it too - www.welladjustedorsotheysay.blogspot.com

Let's not forget about the latest post on Tracy's Aunt's blog:

  69. Hi all,

Tracy, Not to be a stickler and all but today makes 2 weeks. Now I've learned that TV does not somehow use the same clock as we all do and that you are not the one in control of when your commercial airs. But exactly 2 weeks ago you told us 2 weeks, actually to quote you "in less than 2 weeks and you all will be the first to know".
Amazing how time rushes by. I am assuming the second half of your quote has not been fulfilled cuz you haven't heard yet. Ya know it's kinda hard to live vicariously thru you if time is standing still. LOL I'll say a little prayer that something happens soon. I for one am eager to see this commercial. As I am sure all the other Ladies are as well!

In other news - Too funny! One of my friends on Edison Nation Blog is a TV Producer. Hmmm! You all know where I'm going with this one. Yup! I already asked her what type of stuff she produces and she said she is a free lance producer and has produced some pieces for CBS. She started out as a news anchor in TX. She said she does human interest, documentary and other various pieces. Anyway I'm gonna direct her to our blog and see if she might think it interesting the ups and downs we've all had with this inventing experience. Can't hurt right? Before I do - is there anyone who is in objection?

And if I haven't said already Have a Blessed Day!!

    ReplyDelete
  70. Nope, Mary, not me objecting here. Not at all. In fact, I think it sounds like a fun idea. Human interest story, indeed!! This would a juicy morsel for that producer friend of yours, I would think! You know, I write - and this would be a story I'd love to write about. Hmmm. Let's see what your producer thinks of it first. Bless you! Ginny

  71. Ladies,

As I said I would keep you Ladies updated in regards to my Edison Nation Invention. Well as you might or might not remember it was going to be presented to the retailer last Friday. Well they just updated everyone as to what happened at the presentation and apparently they (Lifetime Brands) are being super particular and are doing a very narrow search. Most of the inventions presented were turned down (not because they were not good just because they didn't fit their very narrow search). That was a direct quote by the way. Very few were chosen to go on or as they stated still under consideration. AAAnnndddd guess who made it thru. . . . Yup Lidz-on is still in it. Phew. I am finding I will need nerves of steal.LOL
My advantage the power of prayer. (And a good idea of course). So keep praying please.

  72. Wow, this is ridiculous! I asked to be released from my contract and they said no!!!!!! They have invested substantial money is casting call etc and will not be releasing contract holders until sometime in 2011. I wanted to pursue my Marie Osmond connection and another wonderful connection and now I can't. Can you believe this mess! NEver did I have an idea that this would end up this way. Consider yourself lucky ladies that your free, free ,free to take your products anywhere you want them to go!

  74. Lori,

So sorry sweetie :-( That's just plain evil. Just say'n. Boo!Hiss! Evil! I thought I had a bad taste in my mouth before. Now I am really disgusted by the disrespectful way they have treated you Ladies.

    ReplyDelete
  75. Mary,
Your soo funny, but it really is sort of on the Evil scale isn't it!!!!!!

On another note, I am beyond thrilled for you to have made it this far. I don't think anyone knows what it takes to get a product to market no matter how good it is. Ohhhh, I hope you can make something happen with that producer. I hope she sees how great of a show it could be. I mean really dynamic.

    Tracy work your magic!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  77. Ladies,
This has been a crazy week and Mary, you are correct...things do take much longer than we hope but shortly I will have 3 infomercials running but while I am waiting on that, I have posted my video on oprah.com. I am not that tec savvy so I still need to figure out how to pass the link along to make it as easy as possible for everyone to vote!

Lori, I think it's just WRONG that they hold you to your contract and I am SO sorry!

Let me know what you think of the video!

  78. Mary,
I think you have to try every opportunity as you see it. that is just too neat that you found a possible connection like that. You jump on in htere for all of us. Also, the biggest congrats on your Lidzon! I want them already!

  79. Good, good, SUPER good!! I LOVE hearing good news...Mary, whatever happens, you should be very proud of your idea and that it has come this far. I hope it all comes to perfect fruition!! Wouldn't that be SOMEHTING! As for Lori, I'm sorry to hear that about the the contracts. I hadn't tried to be released, but somehow that seems unfair. What's the thought process, I wonder? It can only be that they might want to consider your product for future shows. Still, it seems unfair to tie you up like that. Ginny

  80. Hi everyone!

The show comes out sometime in November on TLC. So great to skim your thoughts and comments. I was a coach on the show. What a huge honor to work with the women and have them pitch to HSN execs! Huge transformations. I have not seen the show but heard that it's awesome! We'll all have to watch together. I just wanted to say to keep going with your inventions - you are brilliant and brave.

I will be putting together a social networking site at www.tingletribe.com and a facebook page for us to all figure out how to make our dreams come true. You are welcome to friend me on Facebook so you will be first to know when it's up. I will answer your questions as best I can...

  83. I am just hearing about this and it is very exciting! I am a designer, not inventor....well, maybe a little of both. I would love to know more about this and introduce my company as well. This sounds very exciting and I've already joined the site on Tingle Tribe. HeartWings is my business.
