Comment!

Ding!

Time for round two!

Casting Directors are looking at all show pitches but I would love your help again this week.

Keep voting but this time, leave a comment! This will help show support for the Woman Inventor concept and hopefully keep me in the loop!

If you do not want to cut and paste the link below, simply go to www.oprah.com and type in Woman Inventor Showcase. Easy as pie!

On another note, any new info on Homemade Millionaire? How about your inventions...anything new there?

  1. I have a quick question did anyone else try to get out of the contract with TLC? I was wondering if they let anyone out of it.

  2. Tracy: Just out of curiosity, how come you haven't done an "As Seen On TV" ad for your product?

  3. Anonymous, what product are you referring to? I am a sucker for all of the "As Seen On TV" products! :)

  4. I have been trying but they won't even respond to any of my e-mails. I am sooooooo disgusted. I feel like an old floor mat that they trampled on. Let me know if you ever get out of it, OK?

  5. Ginny here...and in reply to Anonymous above, I think that is just disgraceful treatment! I am so disheartened to hear this. I have to say, my AP did not treat me shabbily at all and, in fact, she was quite kind. Tell me, is it your AP who you are emailing? On another note, Tracy I'm voting...and voting...and voting! Left a couple of comments, too! Good luck!

  6. I'm so sorry to the Anonymous above! I hope that they respond soon.

  7. Anonymous that is stuck (for now),
I am really sorry for the frustrating position you are in and it is certainly not fun to feel like an old floor mat.
There has to be a "higher up" you can go to. Hmmm, what can we do? Contact me at tracy@wearyourmanners.com if you want to and maybe we can come up with an idea.

On another note, I have an awesome comment on the Oprah site from "giniagiara". Is that from someone here on Product X?

  8. Just my guess but is giniagiara Ginny? Hmmm? Also Tracy I think Annony above who asked "Why haven't you done a ASOTV ad for your product I think they meant Product X of course - AKA The Everything Marinator. I'm sure the reason is $$$. Am I right. Going to go vote and leave a comment.

BTW - Little update for ya all. My Lidz-on description has been tweaked and is in the running in the Presto LPS with EN. It will be presented to the retailer next Monday June 7th if it makes it to G7. Wish me luck. Also that's the day after my BDay maybe that will give me some luck. :-)

  9. Tracy, Guilty as charged. :-o

Mary-the-sleuth (!!), thoughts of you and prayers, too, for June 7th! Very exciting stuff! Ginny

  11. My AP was very nice also. However after I was told, "Not this season", I can't get any answers from anyone. I'd love to talk to you Tracy but we are still under contract and my hands are still tied. I am so sorry I tried out for the show.

Good Luck to you Mary and Tracy too!

  12. Oh Anonymous, I am so sorry! To feel so let down after auditioning for a show that was SUPPOSED to help you...I am sure you are beside yourself!
I tweeted to TLC about this issue and linked my blog to it...wish I could do more!

  13. I am going to ask the attorney Laura Yeager Katz where in the contract does it state that they can not release us if we weren't chosen for this season. I'm going to go ahead with my business. This isn't a hobby, they can't stop me from trying to make a living with my own product that is patented. They passed on the me for the show, so how can they hold me to anything for a possible , maybe, wait and see kind of thing. B*S* For sure! #9

  14. Good for you #9! Truly, what would they benefit from keeping you from your dream?!

    ReplyDelete
  15. #9,
I hear you and I agree that is NO way to treat anyone!! Even your worse enemy let alone someone you are trying to help! Now here's the part your not gonna like. BUT I would definately check with a lawyer before doing anything further that requires any money or you may find that you are doing it to their benefit and not your own. Please believe me when I say that would be the lowest of low, and the dirtiest deed, but looking at what they are already capable of; well need I say more. Sadly I would not put it past them at this point. I feel for you. I do! And I will be praying for a change of heart on their part and that they fully release you to go about your business. Please be careful.
