A much needed change

WI Food Drive: 15 Bags

It never ceases to amaze me how change can happen without notice but sometimes you get lucky and the change that surprised you happens to be just what you have wished for!

You know what I am talking about...when you want change to happen but aren't sure how to go about it...sometimes if you sit back and wait, it'll take care of itself.

That's the best kind of "change"!

Most of the time we resist change for many reasons. It's scary, it's different, it's uncertain. Yes, change can take you off guard...can make you uncomfortable... but not all change is bad.

Sometimes change happens because it is what is best for YOU and I've had the pleasure of recently experiencing that change!

Change can be freeing! Liberating! A blessing!

Thank goodness for change!

P.S Because not all things remain the same, check out my new Go 2 Girlz site at www.theGo2Girlz.com.

Have a wonderful weekend!

  1. I think sometimes if you are wishing for a change, it may help if you are honest with the one who you want the change with. It could make things easier, and save people's feelings in the long run. But that is just my take on it.

  2. Good take on it Anonymous- thanks for sharing your point of view! However, it's funny that you mention a change with "someone"...most of the time, it's with "something"...but whatever change happens, hope it's a good one! I know it was for me!

  3. Tracy,

Everything happens for a reason. This much is true. So do I understand that it is the go 2 girl now? Did you and Stacey have a falling out? All this talk about the Go2girlz reminds me what ever came of that pitch to Sully? Just curious. Never saw the video you two made. Or did that not pan out the way you had hoped? Also last question did you get the second chance audience with Sully like you had hoped? Okay not the last question but different subject. How did your call go the other day?

  4. Mary, It's funny you should ask about a falling out. I never knew we had a falling out till I read it on the internet. I didn't know we were no longer the TheGo2Girlz til I read it about that either, lol. Tracy didn't have the nerve to tell me. By the way....I came up with the name and concept of TheGo2Girlz. I guess she figured she can do better without me. I wanted everyone to hear both sides of the story. Because Tracy gets up at the crack of dawn, I'm sure this post will not see the light of day...but if anyone wants to know the true story, I would LOVE to tell you how someone soooooooo sweet can be soooooo mean!! I guess it is that time of the year when the Grinch comes out!

  5. I never had a falling out with Stacey, I think she is a fine person and I wish her all the best.

  6. Yeah right Tracy. Why don't you tell your readers what you really think. Why are you doing the Go2girlz without me? Why are you working deals and signing contracts behind my back when I am the one who found the products? I guess I would like to know the answers to these questions myself. It would have been nice to hear from you that we are no longer a team. Last I heard, we were going forward with the Go2Girlz, then low and behold weeks go by, and I find out your working on things behind my back. I hope your readers understand that I am not bitter because things don't work out, I just think there is an adult way to handle things, especially when I thought that above all, we were great friends.

  7. Good morning Mary,
The Go 2 Girlz was a concept I was considering but will not be working on for the time being. I love pitching and will continue to be a Pitchwoman! Thanks for asking!
About the phone call, it was nice but didn't go very well. I don't think it's going to pan out.
Oh well, try try again! :)

  8. I haven't posted on here in awhile but occasionally I come back and read to see what others are doing with their ideas. Unfortunately for quite some time all I see is people clinging to a dream which probably isn't going to pan out. That is of course the dream of being on that HGTV show. Kudos for even being considered so you must have a good idea. But rather than continuing to hope for another deadline to come and go why not share your idea and try to get help making it a reality. I knew pretty early that my product was not going to be chosen. But who cares because I also know I have a great product (the Bebe Bottle Sling for hands free bottle feeding) that helps a lot of moms (especially those with multiples). Since applying for that HGTV show I've created and manufactured 3 new bottle sling designs. In addition I've added several new multiples themed clothing to my website. I also taught myself how to do FLASH presentations for my website and revamped its look. All of this has come in handy because in September my husband was laid off from a very good job as an engineer. But that was God's will just as it was God's will that I NOT be on the HGTV show. It was His will that I begin preparing my product and website for when my husband lost his job. This summer when I applied to the HGTV show my sales were $3500 per month. Since my husband was laid off my sales have almost TRIPLED. I'm bringing in as much money now as he was at his job. In addition, he gets to spend a lot more time with the kids. Instead of leaving before they get up for school and getting home at 6:30 PM, he takes them to school and picks them up and gets to eat lunch with them once a week. With both of us working on the business we've gotten it into 12 stores and each month is a new record for sales. So instead of continuing to talk to each other as #3 and #16 and such, start talking about what your product is and what you need help with. I've got some very good contacts in China for manufacturing and I know a lot about website optimization or selling on Amazon. Anyone can add products to Amazon and it only costs $40 per month for unlimited number of products. I don't want to discourage you about the HGTV show but rather encourage you to move past it and start trying to HELP one another with your businesses. Only you can do it!

  9. Baby Bottle Holder,
Whoohooo! Congratulations on all of your success! It is wonderful to hear such a success story and I can appreciate your message of moving forward. If anyone would like to share their invention, I would LOVE to hear all about it!
    Keep up the good work!!!

  10. If anyone wants to see my website you can click on the title of my post. Attaching your website address to your post with your most popular search phrase is a great way to create backlinks to your website to increase your search engine ranking. If you have a website, you all should be posting this way on blogs to get those backlinks.

But please ... don't focus on the past or what could have been. Move on to what WILL BE if you work on it. When my husband was first laid off he was focused on how much he hated his boss and wanted revenge (who isn't when they lose their job especially after we just moved across the country for this one and bought a house 6 months ago). But I kick him in the tail every morning to forget about it and get to work on bottle sling. As sales continue to rise, and he gets to be a much bigger part of the kids' lives, his resentment toward losing his job diminishes more and more. Now that he's not stressed about the money, he's begining to see it as a blessing for our family and what a relief never to have worry about losing a job again. You too might see your situation as a blessing if you would move past it and focus on something constructive than waiting for it to come to you or stewing about an injustice.

  11. Bravo to you, Cherie. You make some very good points and it is so encouraging to hear success stories such as yours. I love your invention(s). But please let us not be so judgmental. Everyone's situation is different and what may be possible for one mightn't be possible for another for a myriad of very valid reasons. I don't believe that we who are waiting are fairly depicted when you refer to our "stewing" and our need to "move past it" (which makes us sound more than a mite pathetic and portrays you as a tad condescending). The bottom line is this - it is what it is. We ARE here waiting and, mind you, have signed contracts whereby we CANNOT discuss our products - much as we might like to. And, yes, it is an uncomfortable place to be - especially for a sustained period of time. I think we are all cognizent that in the world of television, the show can easily be scraped at any given time if they so choose; projects are dropped all the time, even after initial tapings. I think we are all intelligent enough not to hang our hats on such a tentative premise. But let's be kind and remember, too, that each of us is unique with our own set of circumstances and responsibilities that may - far and away - eclipse promoting our inventions - other than with the help that just might come from the show. For myself, if the show doesn't come to pass; that's okay, but my invention will probably have to sit for awhile longer because I'm very realistic about my personal limitations - both in terms of time and financial resources. I am in total agreement with you about reaching out to others who can help, though, and I applaud you for suggesting it. Networking is definitely the way to go. (And by the way, "ladies who wait," the newest date for hearing back is late January). So, until then, enjoy happy holidays and peace of mind - it snowed mightily here yesterday and is just so gorgeous this morning - everything looks pristine and Christmas-y. And that's good enough for me! Proudly (!) #16

  12. Thank you #16! You said it so well. #8

  13. Maybe you didn't read the full post because I was referring to my stewing husband but I suspect that others let the same kind of distractions slow them down. How long will you wait until you move forward? It's been half a year already on that HGTV show. You've been posting anonymnously so how would one associate you to #16 if you decided to start trying to move on with your idea. I think these contracts are really holding all of you back. Some ideas are cheap to manufacture if you know the right person so how do you know you can't start it now? I can't tell you how many times I've heard someone tell me that they had my idea but they didn't do anything with it. It remained an idea forever locked away in their head until someone else acted upon a similar idea. Patents are only good for 19 yrs and then it's free domain. If you keep holding out for that BIG BREAK you WILL MISS all the little breaks that come your way. Those little breaks will begin to add up after a while and may allow you to be prepared for when the NEXT BIG BREAK comes along.

Start on your idea now. I sincerely doubt the contracts for HGTV were meant to disuade any of you from pursuing the success of your idea. You can't succeed with it unless you disclose, manufacture, and promote it.

I'm sure there will be more shows like the one on HGTV. Move on and be prepared for the next one. Good to hear that you have a new deadline to look forward to but how many have already come and gone? I'm really not trying to be discouraging or condescending. Most products on the shelves today came from hard work and a lot of little breaks along the way. Very Very few came from a TV show promotion. You don't need HGTV.

  14. Cherie, there is no way that I'm just sitting here doing nothing else but waiting; I don't know whatever gives you that idea. I'm sure I'm in good company when I say that I've spent the last six months actively researching all sorts of enhancements to my invention including innovative and socially responsible manufacturing and packaging ideas. It could hardly be otherwise - with all this waiting naturally comes a lot of productive thinking about and refining of the product. I understand what you are saying, Cherie, and I know that you speak wise words - but please understand that I believe (at least I hope!) that we are all preparing and planning "next steps" even as we wait; even anticipating a possibly non-affirmative outcome with regard to Milojo's show. #16

  15. I to have redesigned and refined my invention during this waiting period and it really has been a God send, because it is a much better product. I have also started a new career hand sculpting high end art dolls. I just released her limited edition three weeks ago and the response has been overwhelming to the tune of 10k. I just keep thinking about the Tony Robbins comment that "Life will pay any price you ask of it" I have tried for years to get my invention to be profitable and it was somewhat but what it needs most of all is exposure, sooo for me the wait is worth the gamble. Plus, I have other options that I have been working on so..... I have to agree with #16 on this one. It is a dilemma because we are bound by the contract but the rewards can also be greater than what I could possibly accomplish in many years of little steps. On that note, I hope you all have a wonderful Holiday with family and friends!

  16. Great #9! I like your comments above and admire your continuing drive onward. We are not "stuck" but, rather, are moving forward in so many wonderful ways and meeting exceptional people along the way. It makes the waiting worthwhile and feels so much to me like pieces of a puzzle that come together until - gradually, bit by bit - we see the entire picture very clearly. And like a finished puzzle, it can be so gratifying. #16

  17. Thank you #16 for your words above! I hope all goes well with you on the sale of your home! I have been in Real Estate all my life and never seen anything like this!!! I sure wish the banks that have been given money would start lending it to people!!!! On a different note how did you hear about this new date??? I have not heard about a new date. Thank you for your info!

Love ya all and may God richly bless all of you this coming year of 2010!! #3

  18. Hi, #3. I simply emailed and asked my AP, saying that we'd been told that we'd hear in 4-6 weeks and that the time has now transpired. She was very prompt in replying - pleasant and straight forward and said that the network is still in the process of considering candidates and have indicated it won't be until "late January" that we learn more. You know, these APs appear to be very approachable and receptive to inquiries. While I've kept my communications to a bare minimum (I don't want to be a pest!), I don't think that it's a problem at all for those of us with contracts to simply ask for a status update. After all, their past communications have encouraged us to contact them with any questions we may have. Anyway, that's what I've learned in the way of an updated timeline. #16

  20. You never know when your going to get that little break that turns into something big. One thing is for sure though, it won't happen if you don't get your product out there. I continually have customers who call me up saying that they LOVE the product and they want to buy wholesale and sell them because they are constantly stopped when out in public and asked where they bought it or just to have people say "I wish I had that when...". In August I had 2 different customers contact me the same day about selling the product. One of them lived in Rogers, AR right outside of Bentonville. Turned out his family owns 12 banks in that area and his father is neighbors with the CEO of Walmart. One weekend when his father was playing golf with Mike Duke he got the buyers contact information for the bottle department and within a week I had a conference call with them. Unfortunately Walmart wants to see the product selling nationwide before they'll take out a product to put mine in. But I learned what kind of sales goals and packaging they like to see and the door is always open. My product is really more suited for Babies R Us. I was just amazed at how quickly things could happen if you knew the right people. This customer of mine also knows the buyer for Target but we're going to wait until I get more sales in independent stores before approaching them.

To give you another example, my husband sold the bottle sling at a Trade Days event here in TX TODAY. Sales were not great because it was outdoor and it's cold. But a man 2 booths down came up to my husband and told him what a great product we had. He watched how people had reacted to it. He used to be a buyer for JC Penny. Just a few moments ago he emailed the contact information for the current buyer at JC Penny (someone that used to work for him) and he's getting the buyer's information for the Baby Depot at Burlington Coat Factory. I don't know if this will be my big break that gets the momentum going but it can't hurt.

My product suffers from lack of exposure too. But you only need to get it in the hands of the right person. The more you sell and pitch it, the greater your chances are of stumbling upon that person who can lead you to a major buyer. I know my product will be in stores nationwide one day. People seek it out on the Internet and it gets too much attention when used for it NOT to catch the eye of a buyer that will give it a chance. If you haven't gotten to the step of manufacturing your idea, I would work hard towards that goal. Manufacturing is affordable in China and I have contacts there if interested. If you are still in a prototype phase I would venture that may be the reason that your contracts haven't gone forward. I never believed HGTV was interested in unfinished products because it takes TIME to get products to the manufacturing stage and while HGTV certainly has the money the TIME factor is still present which they don't have. However if you take that step out of the equation for the next TV show that comes along your product may very well end up on the short list for callbacks OR you may get a little break that turns into something big. I wouldn't be surprised if Milojo strings you along until they finish taping and then let you know right before it airs. Again I'm not trying to be discouraging but to present an example of an alternative means (a means whereby MOST products end up being discovered by buyers for retailers) for the success of your invention.

I didn't plan on posting again here because it seems you have all decided to continue waiting. I just thought I'd share this little break moment because it happened today of all days.

Glad you are back on the blog. I have not posted in sometime. Thanks to you, and your advice months back-Carry-Her will be under the tree for a lot of little girls. I will email you soon so we can chat. You are an awesome contact to have and a very intelligent woman. I am glad things are turning around for you and your husband.
May you have the happiest of holidays.

  22. Ro,

It would be great to catch up. I'd love to hear how your Amazon sales are going. I've got some info on shipping software you might be interested in as I had to find a solution to shipping out 300 packages a month. I have some ideas on how to add the bling to your doll carrier too. Email or call me anytime. You can get the info from my website.

    Merry Christmas!

  23. Just a little technicality, Cherie...the show is to be aired on Discovery/TLC. Not HGTV. :0)

  24. I realized that last night. It just goes to show how far removed it is from my thoughts since submissions were 6 months ago. I think everyone knew what I was talking about and it doesn't change what I said. But thanks Anonymous.

Is it possible that this blog can start talking more about the positives in everyone's business, about people reaching out for what they need help with, and the things that inventors are doing that are paying off? I think it would be so refreshing. I know that with respect to selling on Amazon I so wish someone had told me about it MUCH sooner. No one in fact told me about it but it is now half my business. I told Ro about it and she's doing great with it despite a hardship in her life. I would like to hear from others that have found a great way to sell their product, make their product, ship their product, pitch a product, call upon retailers, get their website to rise in the ranks, etc. Is there anyone out there with something that can help all of us who are struggling to learn the ropes? Even if you don't want to post on this blog, please contact me through my website. I have my product made in China. If anyone else does or wants to maybe we can work together on filling enough space for ocean freight shipping. We could help each so much more.

    Thanks!

  25. Cherie, I wonder if your product had been chosen for the show, would you be waiting also? I think having 90 million viewers verses 10 small shops is worth the wait. Seems to me these girls know what they are doing. They made it this far. Don't let anyone one anything discourage you.

    ReplyDelete
  26. If this waiting game is all that anyone is interested in then that's fine. I'm wondering if anyone is interested in ANYTHING that can help with your invention. To answer your question though, I would not be waiting. Even if I had be chosen I would still be selling. Before I even knew the outcome I was designing 3 new styles. I'm not saying anything negative about the women who are waiting with contracts. In fact in my very first post, I gave them kudos for getting a contract. I don't think the constant talk about the new deadlines to hear something for the last 2.5 months is very beneficial but it is dominating the posts. I applied for a show on Dr. Phil when he first started out 7 yrs ago entitled "How to make Millions." I was so excited when I was called by the Producers to sign all the release forms. They told me when it would air and I was on cloud nine. If I hadn't taped the show I would have missed it because my product (which was my original red design) was on the show for about 3 seconds and only 5 products were showcased. You shouldn't hang ALL your hopes on a TV show. It's a rare thing for it to pan out. Mind you I still have on my website AS SEEN ON DR. PHIL and it always makes me smile when someone says they saw it on Dr. Phil because no one would have known what it was.

I know that I would love to hear more about things that can benefit all inventors. I can't believe that ANYONE would object to taking about how to make their business grow. Anonymous, 12 small shops isn't much. You tell me what I should be doing to increase that. You tell me what you've found that helps you in your business. I want to know what you know. I want you to know what I know. I want to see posts or hear from anyone who can help me or I in turn can help them. I admit that I'm not great at this. It's taken me 7 yrs to get to this point. I'm just now starting to figure things out but oh how I wish someone had told me about the things that I find helpful now 7 years ago.

Can anyone share what's going right with your business? Does anyone know about something that has made their life easier? I just recently discovered how to ship lots of packages without going to the post office or buying lots of stamps and it's ALL totally FREE (well the labels cost about a penny). Anyone interested in that kind of information or can anyone tell me what they are using that's better?

    Thanks,

    not Anonymously ... Cherie Alexander

  27. hey Cherie - great posting! I am definitely interested in finding out about your shipping strategy...labels that cost a penny!? I'm all ears. I currently use PayPal to print USPS labels and pay for postage. I will be switching from a PayPal account to my merchant account in the next few weeks and I am interested in any success stories you have to share about shipping a lot of packages as efficiently as possible...especially since I am a one-woman show right now. You have one more year on me (I'm 6 yrs into my biz) so I know you and I probably have many things in common. Let's network!

  28. LipStix Remix,

COOL product! I wish I had known about it earlier because I think my 7 yr old would LOVE to make her own lip stick (she keeps stealing mine). I see that you are in Knoxville. You are so lucky that is my all time favorite place to live. I went to college at UT and lived there for 7 yrs. I was so sad to leave it.

As far as shipping goes, I bought a Dymo Twin Turbo LabelWriter (off Ebay for a deal) a couple months back. I like it because I can print an address label on one side and a postage label on the other at the same time. I looked for the type of label it uses on Ebay and then bought knock-off labels for the postage and address in bulk and in the end they only cost about 0.01 each. I use Dymo label software to print labels for the returns and the ones from my website sales. This software is free and you can get it from DYMO or Endicia. I started a FREE account with Endicia and use DYMO Stamps (also called their Printable Postage software which is FREE) to print USPS stamps. Unfortunately it does have some limitations like you can only print postage for first class mail, first class package stamps up to 13 oz, and Priority Mail stamps. You cannot print International postage and currently I just go to the PO when I get an international order. This type of postage has the rate printed on it and there is no tracking with it but I just offer to send another package if one gets lost and it happens so rarely that I actually save money by not paying for tracking. However for $15/mo you can get a paid account with Endicia and print postage, track packages, and I think have stealth postage (meaning the customer can't see how much you paid to ship), plus you can ship international packages this way. I'm going to upgrade to this method as soon as I use up all the labels I've bought because there is a specifc label I need to buy for this method. Another thing that I started using is a software called Interapptive Shipworks. I pay $15/mo for this and it will go into Amazon and grab the sales info automatically and allow me to print ALL of the shipping labels for the orders I highlight with the press of one button. It does a lot more than that if you have a paid account with Endicia or any other shipping service like UPS or FEDEX and I am looking forward to learning more about it when I upgrade my Endicia account. It will also connect with my shopping cart on my website and grab all that sales info for labels and such too but I am waiting a little longer to start doing that because it costs another $15/mo. I'm a penny pincher but I'll probably take that plunge soon because it is so nice to print all the labels at once. You can go to USPS and schedule a pickup FREE too and you can make it recurring. My mail man comes to my door each day and picks up the packages. He's given me several PO bins and told me he gets paid a little extra for the pickups. The PO website says you have to have one Priority package in each pickup but the mailman had never heard of that. I just click that there is and don't worry about it. Sometimes I have Priority packages (especially now) and sometimes not.

I'm glad to hear you are going with a merchant account because I know I lost a lot of sales from people who wanted to use their credit card without going through Paypal. Paypal confuses buyers who aren't used to it. I don't even use Paypal anymore although I could easily if I wanted. Another great thing to use is a free shopping cart. My shopping cart is actually FREE. It is an oscMax cart. It takes a little time to figure it out but you can do a lot with it.

I'm traveling tomorrow but will be back to hear what you have found helpful. We could do all this through email but I think there are so many people looking for these same things and what better place to share than this blog.

    Thanks for reaching out!

    Cherie Alexander

  29. Tracey,

Do you think you could start new topics where people can talk aall about how they ship and maybe another day on all about shopping carts, and another on website optimization, etc?

There are so many things that I think all of us could use help with because let's face it only a handful will benefit from a TV show. But if we can all start networking on this blog we can learn so much from one another.

    Thanks!

  30. All of this information is, believe it or not, fascinating and very welcome. It was the cool reception we received from out of left field the other day that was so unexpected. Over these months, we've been very highly ENCOURAGED to divulge any updates we may have recieved on our status. This was to - logically - lessen the impact of waiting in isolation. In fact, I'd venture to say that this site was originally conceived by Tracy at the time of the casting calls as a platform of sorts for those of us involved in the project. I can tell you that I'm delighted to branch it out further into the realm of actually networking for the obvious good of our products and for the practicality of promoting, manufacturing and selling our products. I love that you want to expand the subject matter, Cherie, and I'm touched that you want to help others in their ventures. I don't have a lot to offer as I'm still a newbie to all this, but I am all (grateful)ears and eyes. I just don't understand why the underlying hostility needed to come into play here. I'd like to think that perhaps you didn't mean to sound so negative and it just came off that way. At any rate, we'd love to hear what you've learned 7 years into it. That kind of knowledge is invaluable and can only come from experience! #16

    ReplyDelete
  31. #16,

I really don't understand where you think this hostility is coming from. I am not and never have been hostile to you or the other "ladies in waiting". Congratulations again on having an idea that caught the attention of Milojo and HSN. You MUST have a GOOD idea. After the months of waiting though and several disappointments with yet another deadline to wait for, I've begun to notice that really only "ladies in waiting" post any more plus a few others. I know there are more inventors out there who read the blog to see if anything interesting is worth chiming in on. I've been watching and waiting for something that is beneficial to others to come up and hadn't really found it. If you want to continue to wait on Milojo then that's fine. But I don't think it's good for you. I've already been where you are at now with the waiting. The top invention for the Dr.Phil show was to be sold on QVC. I know how these producers will lead you on, not tell you anything, and will keep you going until it airs. Then they won't even talk to you anymore. I'm not saying that's going to happen with you but I fear that it will. I don't want to discourage you on your dream. What I've been trying to do is encourage you to move your focus to what you need help with as this type of discussion will lead to more productivity for many people.

I'm not trying to discourage you, I want to encourage you. I'm not trying to be negative, I want to focus on the positive. I don't know what stage you are in with your invention. But as an engineer, I am willing to help you with what you need help with. I may not have a solution to a problem that you like but it's good to hear other points of view on how to tackle something. I don't want to steal your limelight, I want to refocus it. I'm hoping there's someone out there that can help me as I definitely need the help now that my invention has to bring home the bacon. I've recently gone from taking nothing from the business to relying on it. It's scary! If you think I was attacking you then I apologize for the misunderstanding. I've never really taken contracts all that seriously because I think most of these one-sided contracts aren't enforceable and the intent behind them are blown out of proportion to what they were really designed for. I really don't believe that your contract was intended to prevent you from disclosing your invention and moving forward with it. I think it's intent was to prevent you from disclosing anything pertaining to the show and your invention. Doesn't everyone already think Deedra is going to be on the show and she hasn't denied it? She disclosed hers and nothing happened. It doesn't matter what your idea is ... I'm not trying to pry anything out of you. But if you need help with anything it will be hard not knowing what it looks like or what it's supposed to do.

So I say let's get busy to #16, #8, #3, #9 and everyone else that is out there. There must be things we can all learn from another. I know that I and Ro MUST MAKE our business succeed.

Have a Merry Christmas #16 and everyone else!

Please remember that email and type is NOT the best way to communicate because it can be made into something that it's not by how you read and interpret it. The same conversation read aloud in a different voice will have a different meaning but type lacks the voice component. If you read it once and feel it is negative then reread it in a different voice and see if it sounds the same. Assume things are in an encouraging and positive tone unless it is obvious it isn't (by name calling).

  33. Ms.Alexander,
Thank you for your bit of wisdom. I think the issue with your comments is that you keep asserting we are waiting in vain, meanwhile emphasizing all the progress you've made and how much better off you are because you are not part of the show. I hope you can appreciate how this might come off as a tad condescending, especially considering that you too applied for the the show and just didn't make the cut. It's very hard to believe you wouldn't be saying all that you're saying if you too had made the cut; why did you even tryout in the first place if you claim you wouldn't abide by the contract if you had made it?! It seems to me that you may be a little disillusioned by not being picked by the show, which is totally understandable, but don't take out your frustration by putting down the rest of us who did make it. #8

  35. Ok girls, I understand everyone's frustration but it makes me very uncomfortable to have this discourse on my blog (although I respect your opinion). In the spirit of the holiday season, could we please move on and agree to disagree.
    Thanks,
Your friend and loyal blogger Tracy :)
