Not Standing Still

When you look at life and the paths that lead you forward, it's always interesting when see a pattern.

Personally, I can not stand still and just "wait"...I have to be working on something that is progressing forward and I think that is why I have so many irons in the fire (so to speak).

That is my pattern.

I am still looking for a way to get The Everything Marinator made but while I am "waiting", I have a new project in the works that is keeping me very busy but I LOVE IT! I love having my creative side challenged because let me tell you, this new venture is a challenge!

If I let my life become just about doing the dishes or folding the laundry or moping the floor, I become very blue. Creativity is in my blood so for me to be standing still is like telling the sun not to rise (OK, that was a little dramatic).

I have put a deadline on my new project...this will ensure that I stay focused...and plan to launch...dare I say, "Project Z".... notice that it is "ProJECT" and not "ProDUCT".

Yes, there will be no standing still for me!

  4. Tracy, I just signed my contract after much thought. I have been reading your blogs and it made me feel connected with everyone. I want to thank you for starting this and I want to wish you all the luck in the world with your 2 invention's. I don't know how you keep thinking of new things. I had all I could do to get 1 product off the ground. I will be very interested in seeing Project Z. Best of luck to you!

  5. Anonymous,
Congratulations on your decision to sign the contract!
Let me live vicariously though you and keep me updated!
If you sign the contract, does that guarantee that you will be on the show?
I can not wait to see what products made it and the direction of the show!
Keep checking in to find out more about Project Z.
    Good luck!!!!!!!

  6. Hi to the person that just signed the contract. I am calling myself #3 contract. I wish we weren't so in the dark. I know that they said that they would be getting back to us shortly, did they tell you that. To Tracy, it doesn't mean that we are on the show, just that we are in a narrowed down pool, but that we would know within two weeks of getting the contract. That puts us about Aug 25th if we decided to sign the contract.

  8. Hi Tracy ~ WOW! I found your blog after googling the HSN/Kelly Ripa show. I am a Tampa based mom and fellow sister in Christ, and it is so evident you have the passion to bring a product to market. Stick with Projects X - Y - Z and A - B - C!!!!

His plan is already known by Him - stay kind and true to yourself and your faith and family. All will come to pass in a lovely way!

  12. Thanks ladies!!!!Believe me I am bursting at the seams!!! I have worked long and hard(years actually) on my invention. I know many of us have. I think that this was just another round and if there are ladies that didn't sign they could very well be chosing some of you ladies that are cheering us one. I know how you ladies that are waiting feel, I felt like someone punched me in the stomach for about a week once I had heard that contracts had been given out mid July!!!!I'm sure that there will be a next season, so everyone will be that much more prepared. So look at it like we are the first guinea pigs. Ha! I will keep you updated as soon as ANYTHING comes in! Take care everyone.

  13. Tracy, Your too kind. Like I said someday I will meet you and maybe be of some sort of help to you. Time will tell for all of us. I do so wish this weren't a competition, so we all could win. Mind you I'm not positive it is.

  18. Hi all-

I received a contract on August 11th. Let me tell ya... this contract is beyond one-sided... it is horrible. I am an attorney and I had five attorney friends (including an IP attorney read the agreement). All five of the attorneys told me that "there is no way you can sign that agreement as is." I tried negotiating provisions to the agreement, but Disovery refused to do so. There's a reason for that... because they know that the terms of the agreement have you "wrapped" up for seven years with NO protections. I was thrilled to be selected but it is not worth the rights you give up in that agreement. I bet they will keep sending out new contracts as more and more people reject it until they find a good amount of people that are willing to sign it without changes. -- DISAPPOINTED ANONYMOUS

  22. Hi! #4 here,

Mine is not a baby or child's product.

I'm going to call Milojo this afternoon and find out if I can just say who I am and what my product is so that I can post it.

    Tracy, thanks for supporting us.

PS, I've posted as me before on the site. :)

  23. OK,so I called Milojo and talked to Dave and he said that the confidentiality part of the contract means I can't talk about what's in the contract (which I haven't) but he said it's totally fine for me to tell people that I got a contract to be considered for the next round and tell you what my product is!
So....on Tracy's next post, I'll put it in the comments. (See Tracy, I'm trying to get people to read your blog! ) :)
